The design concept of this building, developed by Foster & Partners, represents a ship rigged with 2 masts and booms supporting the photovoltaic panels.
Opening of 200 ml installed in the Port of Monaco, at the bottom of Boulevard Louis II (at the exit of the F1 tunnel). This exceptional building containing the spaces dedicated to the YCM, a show room, the boat hangars of the sailing school, the offices of the Nautical Society, 2 restaurants, shops, 1 2-level car park (1 on the basement level) and accommodation.
Structure : Maritime works: earthworks, special foundations and infrastructure immersed below sea level. Creation of a technical gallery underneath the immersed basement, serving the fluids throughout the length of the building.
Air-conditioning: Thermofrigorific production provided by a heat exchanger system operating with sea water.
Electricity : Control management and light dimming form the basis of a DALI controlled system - Building equipped with photovoltaic solar panels.
Hydraulic sanitary engineering: Stainless steel swimming pool provided with an ozone treatment system.- Hot water for the swimming pool is generated by solar heating panels.
Building information systems : Building equipped with a GRTC system.
HQE : HQE process initiated by the MOA.
